Transfer of another strip processing line to ThyssenKrupp Terni, Italy
Oct 20, 2008
Midway through 2008, Thyssen Krupp Acciai Speciali Terni SpA, asked Tenova Strip Processing to transfer its stainless steel annealing and pickling line no. 4 from Turin to Terni, Italy. In addition to the revamping of the plant as a whole and the process section in particular, the project involves a full furnace upgrade to be handled by Tenova LOI Italimpianti.

This third line will provide a capacity of 50 t/h and process coils up to 27 t, with thicknesses from 2 mm to 7 mm for hot strip and 2 mm  to 5 mm for cold strip. Work on this project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2009.

In May 2007, Tenova Strip Processing won an order to transfer and revamp the stainless steel bright annealing line from the Thyssen Krupp factory in Turin to its facility in Terni and in December 2007, Tenova signed another contract for the transfer from Turin to Terni of stainless steel annealing and pickling line no. 5.
