V&M Star orders pipe heat treating furnaces
Aug 2, 2010
Design and supply of two pipe heat treating furnaces has been ordered by V&M Star’s Youngstown, Ohio, USA, as part of the major plant expansion project. The company will supply the booming shale gas market in the United States.

Tenova Core will provide hydraulically actuated walking beam type furnaces for the hardening and tempering heat treatment applications. The furnaces will have a maximum output of 54 t/h.

The combustion system will be equipped with low NOx burners and designed to utilize preheated air for a reduced carbon footprint. The process control system will be designed to ensure product uniformity.

Installation will take place in 2011.
