Annealing and pickling line for Fuxin Special Steel, China

Fujian Fuxin Special Steel Co. Ltd. placed an order with International technology Group Andritz to supply major components and systems for a new stainless steel plant in Fujian Province, China.
The scope of supply comprises an annealing and pickling line for hot-rolled stainless steel strip, with integrated S6-high cold rolling mill, and a mixed acid regeneration plant using the Pyromars process developed by the supplier.
The annealing and pickling line has an annual capacity of 800,000 t of stainless steel strip for grades AISI 200, 300, and 400. In addition to the complete equipment, Andritz will also supply the automation and technological control systems.
The total order value is approximately 44 MEUR. Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2012.
