Novelis to extend aluminum production in Korea
Nov 21, 2011
Novelis Korea Ltd. invests in their aluminum rolling mill in Ulsan/Korea to increase production capacity and to allow rolling of high-grade strip. Accordingly, they placed the order for a three-stand finishing line to be added to the existing plant.

The currently available single reversing stand comprises two coilers plus the necessary secondary systems and is scheduled to act as a rougher for the new three-stand tandem rolling mill including coiler and coil handling system. Lightweight cropping shears will also be installed in the entry to the finishing line.

The first strip is planned to be rolled in July 2013.
