Coiled wire in downtown Udine
Kerstin Garbracht:

The city of Udine in the North- East of Italy brings to mind the importance of the material steel in an art project: semi-products from the steelmakers are exhibited downtown, unprotectedly, lively, as-shaped and "open air". Coiled wire, e.g., is the cornerstone of a bank, book and fashion shops, and of the crossways of roads and pedestrian zone.

Dedicated to forging: Ulrich Schmied
Nomen est omen, as ancient Romans used to say, and this especially is true for Ulrich Schmied, whose family name denotes blacksmith. Nice idea, but a popular fallacy. With this artist, it was just the other way round. He was so attracted by the occupational image of a blacksmith that he even adopted this name. Hitting his website, you will find his personal motto "Alle Menschen müssen sterben, nur die schwarzen Schmiede nicht. Denn sie
