Last September, Mr. Malay Mukherjee left ArcelorMittal to start work with Essar Steel. First, this seemed to be a big surprise for professional circles, as he had long been the confidant of Lakshmi Mittal.
Abounding rumours now cast another light on it: Is ArcelorMittal taking over Essar Steel? Has Mr. Mukherjee joined Essar as advance guard to prepare the acquisition?
