Quality is an important issue, steadily being optimised by product improvement and process development. Over the last 10 years Corus has much invested in quality control and implemented several systems acquiring quality-relevant data at a series of essential locations throughout the entire process route.
In going for quality, a close relationship has established between the principal researcher of the Strip&Coated Product Measurement Group, Kees Jonker, and the quality engineers of the IJmuiden cold mill department of Corus Strip Products, Henk Blommert and Marcel Koopman (see photo, from left to right). Reason enough for STEEL GRIPS to meet this unique team and to hear more of the interdepartmental cooperation.
