How to save energy costs with the NIR-technology in coil coating processes
By Kai K. O. Bär
Energy operation costs for drying/curing systems, coil coating, comparison of methods employing gas, electric energy, NIR-technology
The energy operation costs for drying/curing systems are one of the major cost factors in coil coating processes. For a long time there has been an established common understanding that due to the lower energy costs for gas, compared to electric energy, electric drying/curing systems require higher energy operation costs. This paper will investigate, whether this statement remains valid also for the NIR-technology.
