Good mood dominated the 17th International Essen Welding Fair, thus delighting the 1015 exhibitors. Before the beginning of the exhibition which started on September 14th under the clouds of the worldwide economic crisis, many firms were still uncertain whether this year’s involvement would pay off. However, the number of visitors on the second and third days of the fair was already slightly above those of the preceding event in 2005. Upon completion, the organizer was able to announce around 6,0000 visitors and, thus, to more than match the level of 5,8000 from four years ago.
