Dear reader,

reading habits of our subscribers are changing considerably. There is a clear trend away from print media towards the world-wide-web. This development has gone so far that a number of large companies and well-known research institutes are not prepared to accept professional journals in print form anymore. They wish to have all information available to colleagues and readers directly at their place of work on the monitor. There are, however, other, more conservative institutions such as libraries, who wish to keep up print media in order to be able to file them in their archives.

Staying abreast of these changes, GRIPS media is proud to announce that ‘STEEL GRIPS - Journal of Steel and Related Materials’ went live online. Current topics and breaking news from the companies are now directly accessible, and, furthermore, the STEEL GRIPS database offers comprehensive background information to those interested in more details. Reviews, company and plant portrayals, reports on the latest modernisation projects reach their readers extremely up-to-date. The same holds for the reviewed high-quality R&D articles.

Subscribers will not only benefit from the fast online access to all company news in the database, but soon all articles from past STEEL GRIPS volumes will be available, too.

Allowing correct and easy citation of the STEEL GRIPS articles, an annual volume and issue structure will be kept on a virtual basis. Accordingly, the topical themes highly valued by our readers, remain a distinctive feature and, thus a popular search criterion.

Our internationally much frequented newsDesk merged with the print edition´s Investments into future - Plantbuilding around the world of the from P&S - Plantmakers & Suppliers section. You will now find this information online subdivided into Technical News and Business News.

Subscribers will be kept informed about new and interesting articles in our newsletter.

All subscribers are being provided wilh their personal access code to the members areas. We also offer access for companies and institutes.

We hope that you are keen to try our new form of distribution and would be happy to arrange access for you.

Enjoy it!
