160 years of Siemens AG are a good occasion to show how innovation has been driven forward and, especially, who has contributed to moving this company on top of the world.

More than 28000 employees earn an annual sales volume of almost 8 billion Euros with Industry Solutions, the plant building division of Siemens AG. They are distributed between 70 sites around the world. Some of them attend to mining, others are engaged in iron and steelmaking shops, and others again are devoted to the construction of cruise liners, airports and subways. No matter whether greenfield mills or modernisation projects are concerned, their responsibility spans the whole project from planning to commissioning.

With this book, the editors pay tribute to all those men and women who make up the company. 30 of them were randomly selected to deliver insight into their daily work. The individual person and his/her fascinating career life is portrayed by 30 students of journalism, who were selected to investigate and write these stories. This effort resulted in an interesting highly illustrated book of 222 pages, introducing the reader with the people behind and their commitment to success.
