In July 2016 thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe GmbH acquired its former investee company Thyssen Ros Casares S.A. in southeastern Spain. The Krefeld-based processing specialist is systematically pursuing its growth strategy with the integration of the site in El Puig, which is now trading under the name thyssenkrupp Materials Processing. Since spring, the Europe-wide service center network has already been boosted by the addition of a new location in Györ, Hungary, and the stainless steel service center in Willich, Germany.

On the site north of Valencia covering a total area of 39,000 m², slit strip and blanks can be processed on three slitting and two cut-to-length lines. The product range is tailored to individual customer wishes, comprising hot- and cold-rolled, coated carbon and stainless steels. The good logistical connections from the El Puig site guarantee quick access to key customer segments.

“We are delighted to be able to expand our European network with the El Puig site and offer our customers new options with a further presence in a promising market environment,” says Marcus Wöhl, CEO thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe.
