Masteel orders world's largest laser measuring device from TBK for its heavy section mill

Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Masteel) has placed an order with TBK Automation und Messtechnik GmbH, based in Graz, Austria, a company of SMS group, for the supply of a PROgauge laser-based light-section measuring system.

thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg GmbH has awarded Primetals Technologies an order to convert the existing cycloconverter drive systems to medium-voltage drive systems on stands 7 and 9 of its medium-wide hot strip mill in Hohenlimburg, Germany.

Liberty Magona, is benefitting from the installation of a Danieli Automation Q-CMC2 “Coating mass control” installed and commissioned in the existing galvanizing line #4 of its plant in Piombino, Italy.

Turkish steel producer Tosyali Demir Celik Sanayi A.S. has placed an order with Primetals Technologies to supply an EAF Quantum electric arc furnace, a twin vacuum-degassing plant with oxygen blowing and a two-strand slab caster for a flat steel greenfield project in Iskenderun, Turkey.
